Yes. PlainStaff records the start, end and breaks of every working day without gaps and logs every subsequent change – exactly what the 2019 CJEU ruling on recording working time requires. Working time models, maximum working hours, break and rest period rules are configured to match the labour law of your country. All processing is GDPR-compliant, and the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is part of the user agreement.

In Microsoft Azure data centres in Europe – transmission and storage are encrypted throughout. The data centres are triple redundant, and we additionally run a full daily backup to a location at least 300 km away within the EU, keeping those backups for seven days. The data centres we use are certified to ISO/IEC 27001, among other standards. Optionally, we also offer data centres in the USA or Australia.

Billing is per user and month: Bronze at €3.50, Silver at €4.90 and Gold at €6.90. Bronze covers working time tracking and absence management, Silver adds project time tracking, shift planning and invoicing, and Gold adds capacity planning and compliance features. There are no setup fees.

Yes, for 30 days and without a credit card. Signing up takes about a minute – either with your business email address or directly with your Microsoft 365 account. You try PlainStaff with your own team and only decide afterwards which plan suits you.

Not at all. The contract runs for an indefinite period and can be cancelled at any time. You change your plan, add users or cancel yourself on the subscription page inside PlainStaff, with payment handled via Stripe. No call to support required.

Yes. More than ten ready-made integrations are available, including DATEV Lohn und Gehalt and LODAS, Lexware Office, weclapp, sevDesk, easybill, BuchhaltungsButler and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Signing in with Microsoft 365 is supported as well. Anything beyond that you can build yourself with our public REST API.

Yes. The iOS and Android app records punch in, punch out and project times directly on site, along with leave requests and approvals. In the office you work in the browser, and for employees without a smartphone or PC there is the PlainStaff terminal: punch in and out at the press of a button.

PlainStaff keeps leave accounts up to date automatically, including remaining days and carry-over into the next year. Requests run digitally through a one- or two-step approval process, and the team calendar shows immediately who is away and when. Public holidays for all German federal states and 15 further European countries are built in and applied automatically.

From the Silver plan onwards, PlainStaff creates invoices automatically from the recorded project times – as e-invoices in XRechnung and ZUGFeRD format, selectable per customer. Gold adds Peppol BIS, Factur-X and EN 16931 for customers abroad.

Yes. The Gold plan includes a GoBD-compliant audit log that records every change in an audit-proof way, an IDEA-compatible export for auditors' Z3 access, and archiving of all data for ten years. That gives tax authorities the evidence they ask for at the press of a button.

In Germany, introducing time tracking is subject to co-determination under section 87 BetrVG, and similar rules apply in many EU countries. PlainStaff uses role-based permissions so that each person only sees the data they are responsible for – covert monitoring is impossible and every evaluation stays traceable.
