Create Employees
This component allows for adding, editing, and deleting employees in PlainStaff. The employee dialog is divided into the sections Basic Settings, Working Time Models, Vacation Entitlement, and Corrections.
Basic settings
In the Basic Settings, fundamental information such as name, date of birth, and employee number is stored. The employee’s email address also serves as their username for PlainStaff. If this matches the email address in Microsoft 365, the employee can authenticate themselves in PlainStaff using their Microsoft 365 login and does not need a separate password. The employee’s date of birth is automatically entered as an event in their team calendar.
The team to which the employee is assigned determines in which team calendar their events are recorded and which supervisor approves their leave requests.
The employee’s region determines which holidays apply to them. The “Supervisors” field allows additional supervisors to be defined in addition to the team supervisor.
Roles
Roles grant employees permissions in PlainStaff. The following permissions are available:
- Admin: With this role, the employee has all PlainStaff permissions.
- Manager: This role grants the employee permission to view and edit the time accounts of the employees assigned to them.
- CEO / Working council: This role grants the employee read access to the time accounts of all employees.
- Project admin: This role gives employees the right to create and modify projects.
